"Water Valley Business Week 2024” Concludes Successfully, Fostering Communication and Cooperation between Water Companies and Public Institutions

The “2024 Water Valley Business Week,” a platform for communication and cooperation between water-related companies and public institutions, successfully concluded on the 31st.

This year marked the third edition of the event, and a provisional tally shows 430 business consultations were matched through the buyer meetings, with deals estimated at approximately 24 billion KRW.

At the company exhibition, 50 promising water industry companies showcased advanced technologies, including:

• BLUESEN, manufacturer of smart tap water analyzers

• Greentech, a pump manufacturer

• Korea Fluid Technology, which produces electromagnetic flowmeters

The event saw strong participation from purchasing institutions, further boosting company engagement.
Representatives from Daegu City, North Gyeongsang Province, Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water), Korea Environment Corporation, and Korea Rural Community Corporation attended, offering companies a valuable opportunity to connect directly with public-sector buyers.

A notable change this year was the expansion of consultation categories.
While the previous year focused solely on water-related government procurement materials, this year’s scope included items from the waste sector as well as water and air quality measurement instruments.

In addition, nine companies participated in the “Open Stage”, a presentation platform for showcasing technologies. These included new solutions such as surge prevention equipment and multifunctional devices for algae control and water purification.

Seminars covered topics essential for both businesses and public agencies, including:

• Certification systems for tap water materials and products

• Government support programs for water companies entering overseas markets

• Ministry of Environment procedures and case studies for new technology verification and certification
